Because they&#8217;re treating AI like a sugar rush, a cheap hit of productivity that creates more noise, more shallow work, and more context-switching. </p><p>They&#8217;re doing more, but they&#8217;re not getting better&#8230;</p><blockquote><p><strong>It&#8217;s the illusion of progress, a flurry of activity that masks a lack of actual leverage.</strong></p></blockquote><p>I know what this feels like. </p><p>I&#8217;ve been the executive who felt stuck. The guy with the resume who was suddenly invisible, watching the world change, and feeling like I was a step behind. </p><blockquote><p><strong>The temptation is to scramble, to add more, to hustle harder.</strong></p></blockquote><p>That&#8217;s a loser&#8217;s game. </p><p>It&#8217;s how you burn out (it&#8217;s how I burnt out).</p><p>During my rebuilding phase, I haven&#8217;t been looking for more tools. </p><p>I want more leverage. </p><p>&#8230;and that journey has led me to a contrarian truth about AI:</p><div class="pullquote"><p><strong>The goal of AI isn&#8217;t to do more. It&#8217;s to do less, better.</strong></p></div><p>Let me give you a concrete example from my own business.</p><p>My podcast, <a href="https://linktr.ee/ryan_hanley">Finding Peak</a>, is a core part of my content engine. </p><p>But the post-production was a soul-crushing time suck. For each episode, I spent 2.5 hours on editing, show notes, transcripts, social clips, and publishing. </p><p>It was a bottleneck that capped my output and drained my creative energy.</p><p>My first instinct was to throw more tools at it. </p><ul><li><p>Maybe a new AI editor? </p></li><li><p>A different transcription service? </p></li><li><p>Another social media scheduler?</p></li></ul><p>Wrong. That would have just been more logins, more complexity, more noise.</p><p>Instead, I took a step back and built a system. I didn&#8217;t just add tools; I integrated them into a streamlined workflow designed for leverage, not just activity. </p><p>The result?</p><p>My podcast post-production time dropped from 2.5 hours per episode to just 45 minutes.</p><p>A 70% reduction. </p><p>That&#8217;s not a 10% productivity bump. That&#8217;s a paradigm shift. It&#8217;s time I can now reinvest into creating more valuable content, talking to clients, or, God forbid, having a life.</p><h2>The Goal of AI is Leverage</h2><p>This is the difference between using AI for tasks and using AI for leverage. </p><p>Most executives are stuck in the task mindset. They&#8217;re missing the system.</p><p>I&#8217;ve codified the system I use into a simple framework I call The AI Leverage Stack. </p><p>It&#8217;s not about having 47 different apps. </p><p>It&#8217;s about having the right apps across six key categories, working together to reclaim your time and amplify your impact.</p><div class="captioned-image-container"><figure><a To build gravity, you must build density around a single, specific topic.</p><p>Don&#8217;t be an authority on &#8220;commercial insurance.&#8221; </p><p>That&#8217;s a galaxy. </p><p>Be an authority on &#8220;workers&#8217; compensation for plumbing contractors in the state of New York.&#8221; </p><p>That&#8217;s a sun.</p><p>Every piece of content you create&#8212;every blog post, every video, every LinkedIn comment&#8212;adds to the density of your solar system. </p><p>You&#8217;re not just regurgitating facts; you&#8217;re sharing your unique positioning, your experience, your take on the topic. </p><p>As you create a deeper and denser content stack, you create an undeniable gravitational pull that attracts the exact people you want to work with.</p><div A simple calculator, a spreadsheet, an assessment (I love ScoreApp for this), a checklist. At Rogue Risk, we had a process for turning insurance into a competitive advantage. What&#8217;s your thing?</p></li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Proof: </strong></p><ul><li><p>This is evidence that your assets work. Testimonials, case studies, your own stories. When I first started, I borrowed my father-in-law&#8217;s stories until I had my own. The message is more important than the ownership of the story.</p></li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Frameworks: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Give your process a name. This turns your service into intellectual property. I teach my coaching clients a framework called PEAK (Presence, Energy, Awareness, Calibration). It&#8217;s a tangible system they can use. What&#8217;s your named process?</p></li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Content Marketing: </strong></p><ul><li><p>This is the engine that drives it all. You must consistently create content that markets your frameworks, proof, and assets.</p></li></ul></li></ul><h3>4) The AI-Powered Authority Workflow</h3><p>This is the flywheel that makes content creation sustainable and effective in the age of AI.</p><h4>1) Research</h4><p>Use AI tools to go deeper than you ever could before. Ask a tool like Manus AI or Perplexity to find every piece of case law on a specific topic. You&#8217;ll uncover gold.</p><h4>2) Develop a Take</h4><p>Based on your research, what&#8217;s your unique angle? My take for the webinar was simple: authority beats expertise every day.</p><h4>3) Validate</h4><p>Use social media to test your takes. Float the idea in a LinkedIn post or a tweet. See if it resonates. If it does, you&#8217;ve got a winner.</p><h4>4) Publish</h4><p>Turn your validated take into a substantial, longer-form piece of content&#8212;a video, a newsletter, a webinar.</p><h4>5) Iterate &amp; Distribute</h4><p>Listen to the feedback from your published piece, make any final tweaks, and then press into your winners. Turn that one idea into a three-month newsletter series, a six-episode micro-podcast, or an in-person workshop.</p><p>This is how you build an unshakeable brand.</p><div><hr></div><div class="digest-post-embed" data-attrs="{&quot;nodeId&quot;:&quot;654e778e-7021-4f0b-9a80-6a0124a514d8&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;When AI first hit the market, I immediately recognized its power and went all in.&quot;,&quot;cta&quot;:&quot;Read full story&quot;,&quot;showBylines&quot;:true,&quot;size&quot;:&quot;lg&quot;,&quot;isEditorNode&quot;:true,&quot;title&quot;:&quot; The High Cost of Generic AI: The AI Prompt That Will Change Your Business&quot;,&quot;publishedBylines&quot;:[{&quot;id&quot;:153215,&quot;name&quot;:&quot;Ryan Hanley&quot;,&quot;bio&quot;:&quot;Helping busy executives find clarity in the chaos of business and life without sacrificing success.&quot;,&quot;photo_url&quot;:&quot;https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/80223da0-6e3c-453a-93e3-e5137869da84_234x234.png&quot;,&quot;is_guest&quot;:false,&quot;bestseller_tier&quot;:null}],&quot;post_date&quot;:&quot;2026-01-14T16:56:04.335Z&quot;,&quot;cover_image&quot;:&quot;https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!JUpV!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F0ba7b7a4-c4a5-4cf9-9c64-4f66c0abdcea_1216x880.png&quot;,&quot;cover_image_alt&quot;:null,&quot;canonical_url&quot;:&quot;https://www.findingpeak.com/p/the-high-cost-of-generic-ai-the-ai&quot;,&quot;section_name&quot;:null,&quot;video_upload_id&quot;:null,&quot;id&quot;:184562601,&quot;type&quot;:&quot;newsletter&quot;,&quot;reaction_count&quot;:5,&quot;comment_count&quot;:0,&quot;publication_id&quot;:4971567,&quot;publication_name&quot;:&quot;Finding Peak&quot;,&quot;publication_logo_url&quot;:&quot;https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!nfIM!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F0e93fa6e-08b7-4b29-b1d2-2f92a7f89d3f_1280x1280.png&quot;,&quot;belowTheFold&quot;:true,&quot;youtube_url&quot;:null,&quot;show_links&quot;:null,&quot;feed_url&quot;:null}"></div><div><hr></div><h2>Stop Being an Expert. But I&#8217;m better at becoming an authority. </p><p>And at the end of the day, all that really matters is that your prospects believe you know what you&#8217;re doing.</p><p>That belief is called authority. </p><p>&#8230;and it&#8217;s the most valuable asset you can build.</p><p>This is the way.</p><p>Hanley</p><div><hr></div><h4>Whenever you&#8217;re ready, there are two ways I can help you:</h4><ol><li><p><strong>Finding Peak Insider</strong></p></li></ol><p>If you&#8217;re ready to stop being just an expert and start becoming an authority, become a Finding Peak Insider. AI</h2><p>The problem isn&#8217;t the AI itself; it&#8217;s how we&#8217;re using it. </p><p>We&#8217;re treating a sophisticated engine like a blunt instrument, copying and pasting lazy prompts and expecting a masterpiece. </p><p>The result is a mountain of digital noise, content that is technically correct but emotionally bankrupt. </p><blockquote><p><em>It lacks soul. It lacks conviction. It lacks you.</em></p></blockquote><p>When you don&#8217;t slow down to define the operating system for your AI, you will inevitably find that:</p><h3>1) Your answers are inconsistent. </h3><p>One day, the AI is formal and academic; the next, it&#8217;s trying to be a stand-up comedian. </p><p>This inconsistency confuses your audience and dilutes your message.</p><h3>2) It fails to hold context. </h3><p>The AI doesn&#8217;t remember the nuances of your brand, the specifics of your last conversation, or the overarching goals of your business. </p><p>Every interaction starts from zero.</p><h3>3) It doesn&#8217;t align with your brand and voice. </h3><p>Your voice is your signature. It&#8217;s the unique blend of your personality, experience, and worldview. </p><p>Generic AI output strips that away, replacing it with a sanitized, corporate-friendly monotone voice that sounds like everyone and no one at the same time.</p><p>This isn&#8217;t just an annoyance; it&#8217;s a strategic failure. </p><p>The time you thought you were saving is spent on endless revisions, trying to inject a personality that should have been there from the start.</p><div><hr></div><div class="digest-post-embed" data-attrs="{&quot;nodeId&quot;:&quot;265aa07d-72d1-4bd5-af68-b9074eda12cd&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;Let&#8217;s be honest.&quot;,&quot;cta&quot;:&quot;Read full story&quot;,&quot;showBylines&quot;:true,&quot;size&quot;:&quot;lg&quot;,&quot;isEditorNode&quot;:true,&quot;title&quot;:&quot; Why Your Content Feels Dead (And a 40-Year-Old Concept That Explains Everything)&quot;,&quot;publishedBylines&quot;:[{&quot;id&quot;:153215,&quot;name&quot;:&quot;Ryan Hanley&quot;,&quot;bio&quot;:&quot;Exploring ideas in Leadership x Performance and sharing stories from the journey.&quot;,&quot;photo_url&quot;:&quot;https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/80223da0-6e3c-453a-93e3-e5137869da84_234x234.png&quot;,&quot;is_guest&quot;:false,&quot;bestseller_tier&quot;:null}],&quot;post_date&quot;:&quot;2026-01-11T12:17:16.613Z&quot;,&quot;cover_image&quot;:&quot;https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!_sgt!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2Fefa461d5-064c-4f16-8b55-f8f54a0e2ae2_2752x1536.png&quot;,&quot;cover_image_alt&quot;:null,&quot;canonical_url&quot;:&quot;https://www.findingpeak.com/p/why-your-content-feels-dead-and-a&quot;,&quot;section_name&quot;:null,&quot;video_upload_id&quot;:null,&quot;id&quot;:184067529,&quot;type&quot;:&quot;newsletter&quot;,&quot;reaction_count&quot;:29,&quot;comment_count&quot;:0,&quot;publication_id&quot;:4971567,&quot;publication_name&quot;:&quot;Finding Peak&quot;,&quot;publication_logo_url&quot;:&quot;https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!nfIM!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F0e93fa6e-08b7-4b29-b1d2-2f92a7f89d3f_1280x1280.png&quot;,&quot;belowTheFold&quot;:true,&quot;youtube_url&quot;:null,&quot;show_links&quot;:null,&quot;feed_url&quot;:null}"></div><div><hr></div><h2>The Unreasonable Advantage</h2><p>George Bernard Shaw famously said, </p><div class="pullquote"><p>&#8220;The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. It is the foundational work required to turn chaos into clarity. </p><p>It is the discipline that separates the amateurs from the professionals. </p><p>Those who do this work will build a moat around their business that their competitors can&#8217;t cross.</p><p>That&#8217;s why, for the first time, I&#8217;m sharing the exact blueprint I use to achieve this.</p><p>This is a paid post.
