This piece really got me thinking about the future of work and, honestly, my own field. It's refreshing to think we might finaly see a shift towards rewarding vision and "knowing what needs to be done" over just raw technical headcount.

Exactly. And here’s the part most people won’t say out loud: the “technical headcount” model was always a protection racket.

It kept the priesthood employed and the barriers to entry high. Can’t code? Can’t play.

Now? The only thing between you and building is clarity of vision. That’s terrifying for massive orgs built on billable hours and departmental empires.

But for someone with a sharp eye for what’s broken and the guts to fix it? Best time in history to be alive.

What field are you in? Curious where you’re seeing this shift play out.
